Our Research Thought Leaders are a group of selected, nationally-known researchers who integrate innovation thinking in sciences, arts, humanities, cognition, and creativity with education. Regular conversations among group members will inform their own work, as well as that of the Innovation Collaborative, including the Effective Practices project. Their efforts will also stimulate further research about learning at the intersections of these disciplines.
Dr. James S. Catterall. Professor Emeritus at the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies and Principal Investigator at the Centers for Research on Creativity (CRoC).
Dr. Bonnie Cramond. Professor of Educational Psychology, Gifted and Creative Education, at the University of Georgia, and the former Director of the Torrance Center for Creativity and Talent Development, does research on the assessment and development of creativity.
Dr. Elyse Eidman-Aadahl. Executive Director of the University of California-Berkeley-based National Writing Project (NWP), a national network of around 200 literacy-focused research and professional development communities located at universities in all 50 states.
Dr. Sandra Bond Chapman. Founder and Chief Director of the Center for BrainHealth and Dee Wyly Distinguished Professor of BrainHealth, University of Texas, Dallas.
Dr. Hubert M. Dyasi. Retired Professor of Science Education at the City College (City University of New York) where he directed science teacher development programs.
Dr. Robert Root-Bernstein. Professor of Physiology at Michigan State University, researcher of autoimmune diseases, the nature of scientific creativity, arts-sciences interactions.
